  Henan is the largest province of wheat production in the country, accounting for about a quarter of the country's area and output.

  In July 2021, although a large area of ​​wheat was sown late after the heavy rain disaster, the area of ​​summer grain in Henan Province this year remained above 85 million mu.

  During the "Three Summers" this year, 11 departments including the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Henan Province, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Health and Epidemic Prevention Department jointly issued ten projects to help and benefit farmers in Henan Province, including agricultural machinery services, epidemic prevention services, traffic services, fueling services, and emergency harvesting services. Policies and measures to fully guarantee the "three summers" machine collection work under the epidemic prevention and control this year.

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Henan Province dispatched 10 working groups led by department-level cadres and 18 expert guidance groups to provide guidance and services in the whole process.

  At the same time, Henan Province has carried out extensive competitions for the reduction of mechanical harvesting of wheat. In 73 counties (cities, districts) with a wheat planting area of ​​more than 500,000 mu, agricultural machinery loss-reduction competitions and inspections of mechanical harvesting losses were carried out. There were more than 200 competitions and competitions; 617 emergency agricultural machinery collection teams and emergency service teams were established in the province to provide collection and seeding services for the closed and controlled areas of the epidemic, farmers unable to return home, and families in need.
