• In the Bouches-du-Rhône, the evening is particularly difficult for outgoing deputies, whether LREM or LR.

Several of them were eliminated in the first round.

  • The RN made a real breakthrough, as during the presidential election, and qualified in the majority of constituencies.

  • The left-wing coalition recorded very good scores in Marseille, like Manuel Bompard, parachuted into the constituency of Jean-Luc Mélenchon and who won 56% of the vote.

The electoral map which is emerging on the evening of the first round of the legislative elections in the Bouches-du-Rhône looks like a big bang, with disavowed outgoing, a popular left in the Marseille city and a historically well-placed RN.

takes stock.

Full card for the left in Marseille

La Nupes comes first in the majority of the seven constituencies of Marseille and obtains 31.48% of the vote.

The bet is successful for Manuel Bompard, who takes over from Jean-Luc Mélenchon and obtains 56% of the vote.

However, it will be necessary to go to the polls for a second round, due to a strong abstention.

In the northern districts, the left-wing coalition won everything, like Sébastien Delogu, close to Jean-Luc Mélenchon, who won 38% of the vote, ahead of RN Areski Selloum (23.17%) in the seventh constituency and the outgoing LREM deputy Saïd Ahamada, relegated to third place.

The qualified RN in the majority of constituencies

Marine Le Pen's party continues its strong momentum already observed during the presidential election.

The RN manages to qualify in the majority of the constituencies, and comes first in several of them, in particular those historically favorable to the LRs.

Thus, the local leader of the RN Franck Allisio comes first with 36.28%, well ahead of the outgoing LR deputy Eric Diard who obtains 29.78% of the vote.

The RN is also in the lead in the sixteenth constituency, so far held by LREM.

The RN candidate Emmanuel Tache de la Pagerie convinces 30.86% of the votes, ahead of the Nupes candidate Christophe Caillault.

In Marseille, the RN is in the lead in the first constituency with 27.26% of the vote, ahead of the LREM candidate close to Emmanuel Macron Sabrina Agresti-Roubache and her 25%.

Bad weather for LR

For years, the Bouches-du-Rhône sent right-wing deputies to the Assembly, which easily kept their seats for several terms.

But that, it seems, was before.

For these legislative elections, five constituencies were still held by the right.

Only two outgoing deputies stood for re-election.

And the sentence is clear.

In the 15th constituency, Bernard Reynès, candidate for a fourth term, was beaten in the first round, arriving in fourth position with only 14.42% of the vote.

In the 1st constituency held by LR Julien Ravier, Sarah Boualem-Aubert also comes in fourth position, with less than 7% of the vote.

Fall at LREM

The LREM wave that had swept away everything in its path in 2017 is moving in a sometimes abysmal well.

Among the outgoing deputies, some manage to remain in the second round.

Thus, in the very macronist constituency of Aix-en-Provence, Anne-Laurence Petel obtains 29.29% of the votes, ahead of the candidate of Nupes with 25.86%.

In Marseille, the ex-LR well established in the east of the Marseille city Lionel Royer-Perreaut obtains the majority of the votes But his situation is an exception.

Arriving in the lead in the first round in 2017, the outgoing MP for the 5th constituency Cathy Racon-Bouzon comes in second position, far behind the candidate Nupes whom she had already faced in the last legislative elections, Hendrik Davi.

The failure is even bitter for some outgoing candidates, like the outgoing MP for the northern districts Alexandra Louis, eliminated in the first round in favor of the candidate Nupes Mohamed Bensaada.
