The first branch of the local version of McDonald's in Russia opened on June 12 near Pushkin Square in Moscow, Russia's National Day, after McDonald's withdrew from Russia and sold its business there.

A total of 15 branches opened in Moscow and surrounding areas that day. Although the restaurant name and logo were updated, there were almost no changes in the location, staff, menu, and taste.

The renamed restaurant, the Russian name is "Vkusno i Tochka", which means "it's so delicious".

The restaurant logo symbol is two yellow fries and an orange-yellow burger, on a green background that symbolizes product quality and service.

The interviewee told a reporter from China News Agency that the taste of the new fast food has not changed much, and it is still delicious. French fries and hamburgers are delicious.

He also said that the price of the dishes is relatively reasonable. The two sets he ordered cost more than 600 rubles in total, and the portion was just right for two people.

After operating in Russia for more than 30 years, McDonald's announced in mid-March that it would suspend about 850 chain fast food restaurants in Russia. On May 16, it announced that it would withdraw from the Russian market and sell its business in Russia.

On May 19, under the coordination of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, McDonald's announced that it would sell its business in Russia to its franchise partner, Alexander Govor.

Under the terms of the deal, Govor acquires the entire restaurant portfolio of the McDonald's chain in Russia and will further develop it under the new brand.

All employees of the former McDonald's Russia company, which has about 62,000 employees in Russia, will remain employed on equal terms for at least two years.

Cooperation with most Russian suppliers will also remain.

According to preliminary estimates, withdrawing from the Russian market will cost McDonald's $120 million to $1.4 billion.
