The RN confirms its anchoring.

In Sarthe, a department traditionally on the right, the candidates of the National Rally managed to qualify for the second round of legislative elections in four of the five constituencies against the candidates of the presidential majority and Nupes.

In this department, Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen had arrived neck and neck in the first round of the presidential election with 20.29% and 19.99% of the vote.

Thus in the 3rd constituency where the outgoing Pascale Fontenel-Person did not represent herself, the 2nd round will give rise to a duel RN-presidential majority between the candidate of the Lepenist party Bruno Pinçon (27.34%) and the macronist Eric Martineau (26 .05%).

In the 4th, the outgoing Sylvie Tolmont (DVG) who had succeeded the former Socialist Minister of Agriculture Stéphane Le Foll, is eliminated.

Elise Boucher invested by Nupes comes first with 21.87% and will face RN Raymond De Malherbe who collected 21.30%.

A single presidential majority-Nupes duel

In the 2nd constituency, the outgoing socialist invested by the Nupes Marietta Karamanli comes first with 36.53% of the vote and can hope to win thanks to the carryover of votes against the candidate of the National Rally Angélique Furet at 20.94%.

In the 5th constituency, the outgoing Macronist deputy and ex-LR Jean-Carles Grelier comes first with 33.73% and will face Sunday the RN candidate Victoria De Vigneral who collects 22.74%.

Finally, a single presidential majority-Nupes duel is announced for Sunday in the 1st constituency where the outgoing LREM Damien Pichereau did not represent himself.

Together candidate Julie Delpech, who came out on top with 24.75% of the vote, will face Ghislaine Bonnet (Nupes) at 22.97% in the second round.
