He is one of five deputies to have achieved this feat despite the strong abstention, and he is the only one of his camp.
In Mayenne, the outgoing deputy Yannick Favennec-Bécot (64), ex-UDI passed to Horizons, managed to be re-elected in the first round of the legislative elections with 57.13% of the vote.
A member of the National Defense and Armed Forces Committee, he is therefore leaving for a fifth term as deputy for the 3rd constituency.
Note that in the 1st constituency, the outgoing PS deputy Guillaume Garot comes very close to re-election in the first round.
He totaled 49.62% of the votes cast, far ahead of the presidential majority candidate, whom he will therefore face without much suspense next Sunday.
In the 2nd constituency, Géraldine Bannier, outgoing Modem MP, will face the Nupes candidate Gregory Boisseau.
