The parties behind the pension agreement react strongly to the Finance Committee's decision.

The committee's Social Democratic chairwoman Åsa Westlund calls the procedure horse-riding.

The Center Party's economic-political spokesman Martin Ådahl tells SVT that the party intends to take the issue further.

- We will find a way to present this in the Riksdag.

It must still be the case that if you have a compromise that has a majority, you must be allowed to present it, says Ådahl.

Exactly how the parties intend to contest the committee's decision remains to be seen, but according to officials in the Riksdag with whom SVT spoke, there is still a possibility for the proposal to reach the Riksdag's chamber.

Can walk all the way to KU

Despite the committee's decision, the parties can still submit the proposal in the form of a request to the Riksdag.

It will then be up to the Speaker Andreas Norlén to decide whether the proposal is compatible with the Riksdag's agenda.

If he goes against the committee and makes the assessment that the proposal does not contravene the rules of the Riksdag, the proposal goes to a vote.

If the President makes the opposite assessment, there will be no vote, but even then there are opportunities to take the issue further.

A parliamentary majority has the opportunity to contest the Speaker's decision, after which the matter goes on to the Constitution Committee (KU).

KU's task will then be the same as the Speaker's: to decide whether the proposal is compatible with the Riksdag's agenda or not.

If a majority there considers that the proposal does not contravene the rules, the matter goes back to the House for a vote.

If, on the other hand, KU says no, the road to the pension proposal will end.

Then the Riksdag votes on the government's original proposal for a spring amendment budget.

It is unclear if any proposal will go through

Regardless of which proposal is finally put to the vote, there are still uncertainties about what support it has.

The Center Party does not want to say how they intend to vote if the government's original proposal goes to a vote.

The political savage Amineh Kakabaveh can also play a crucial role.

Earlier on Monday, she announced that she had not yet made up her mind.

“I am glad that one of my demands from this summer's agreement on increased pensions is included.

I want there to be investments against oppression of honor in the budget.

Must check if it is included ", she writes to SVT.
