Biden decided to extend the sanctions regime against the authorities of Belarus for a year

“I am extending for one year the regime of national emergency in relation to Belarus,” reads a document circulated by the White House.

The document notes that such a decision was made in connection with a certain policy of representatives of the Belarusian authorities, as well as "harmful activities and abuses that continue to pose an extreme threat to national security, foreign policy and US interests."

Earlier it became known that the US Department of Commerce announced sanctions against 71 enterprises from Russia and Belarus.
