Manuel Bompard, the candidate of Nupes in the fourth constituency of Bouches-du-Rhône where he took over from Jean-Luc Mélenchon, will have to go through a second round despite obtaining 55.8% of the votes, according to the figures from 11:30 p.m. where the results of one polling station out of 60 were still missing. The fault was a (very) low turnout, less than 50%.

Only 38.06% of voters went to the polls in this constituency in downtown Marseille for these legislative elections.

Barring an unlikely turnaround, Manuel Bompard will have to be a deputy.

The second round of the election will oppose Najat Akodad (LREM) who obtained only 14.86% of the vote.
