The North offered itself some big surprises.

In the first round of the legislative elections, most of the outgoing deputies managed to get out.

But some have fallen and others are on very unfavorable tie.

The label "seen on TV", seems to have played in the 8th district (Roubaix-Wattrelos) where David Guiraud was running for Nupes.

He obtained 40% of the votes ahead of outgoing MP (Together) Catherine Osson, more than 15 points behind.

The left could well regain this seat in the second round.

Deputy for twenty years, he is beaten

In the 3rd constituency (Maubeuge), the outgoing Macronist deputy Christophe Di Pompeo will not even be in a position to defend his seat next Sunday.

By finishing 4th, he was eliminated in the first lap.

It was the candidate (RN) Sandra Delannoy who received the most votes (32).

She will face the mayor of Jeumont, Benjamin Saint-Huile, left dissident (19%).

Finally, two elected LRs also fall by the wayside, Valérie Six (7th) and especially Sébastien Huyghe (5th).

The latter, who made himself known in 2002 by beating Martine Aubry, sat for twenty years in the National Assembly.

The chosen one, largely beaten, does not manage to pass the second round either.
