Franck Riester, Minister Delegate to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in charge of Foreign Trade and Attractiveness, is invested by the presidential majority in the 5th district of Seine-et-Marne (Coulommiers, Crécy-la -Chapel, La Ferté-sous-Jouarre…).

This Sunday, the outgoing deputy won 29.2% of the votes cast, against 25.4 for François Lenormand (RN) and 23.1 for Cédric Colin (Nupes).

A constituency shared between the RN and LREM

Note that in the previous ballot, Franck Riester ran for LR and was credited with 39.92% of the vote.

In 2017, the National Rally managed to mobilize 20.59% of voters in the first round.

In the presidential elections, the 5th district of Seine-et-Marne had placed Marine Le Pen in the lead in the 1st round, before Emmanuel Macron became the majority in the second.
