She is not done with politics, quite the contrary.
A few days after leaving the government, Sarah El Haïry has just qualified this Sunday for the second round of the legislative elections.
The former Secretary of State for Youth and spokesperson for the Modem, notably at the origin of the universal national service, was running with the presidential party for a second term in the fifth constituency of Loire-Atlantique (Carquefou, Nort- sur-Erdre).
During his time in government, which lasted nearly two years, it was his deputy Luc Geismar who sat in his place.
The 33-year-old young woman won the score of 37.45% of the vote tonight and will face Sabine Lalande, the Nupes candidate, who also qualifies with the score of 32.72%.
In this fifth constituency, the National Rally comes in third place (11.5%).
Note that in Loire-Atlantique, Sarah El Haïry is one of the only two candidates Together to climb this Sunday evening to first place, mainly occupied by the Nupes representatives.
The one who is also a municipal councilor of Nantes has set herself the objective of "reconciling young people with the ballot box".
