Spring is not so dull for Brigitte Klinkert.

Not renewed by Emmanuel Macron in the last government, the former Minister Delegate for Integration had more success at the polls.

The presidential majority candidate obtained 34.6% of the votes cast in the first constituency of Haut-Rhin, that of Colmar.

A score that allowed him to come out on top, ahead of Les Républicains candidate Yves Hemedinger (20.6%).

Small peculiarity: the latter is the outgoing deputy since a by-election in 2020. It had been organized because the elected deputy, Eric Straumann, had just become mayor of Colmar and his deputy was none other than… Brigitte Klinkert.

The former president of the Haut-Rhin departmental council, 66, will therefore try next Sunday to regain a place already won in 2017. The duel promises to be tight in a constituency where the representative of the National Rally Steven Schoenbeck seduced 17.20 % of voters this Sunday, against 14.74% for the candidate Nupes Aïcha Fritsch.
