• Three LREM deputies from Loire-Atlantique (3rd, 7th and 9th) left weakened by separate court cases.

  • They came in second place after the first round.

They are all three at the heart of separate legal cases, and all three have collected sufficient votes to qualify for the second round of legislative elections on Sunday.

In Loire-Atlantique, LREM deputies Anne-France Brunet, Sandrine Josso and Yannick Haury are in the running for a second term.

However, they all place themselves in second place, behind the candidates Nupes, whom they will face next Sunday.

Note that this scenario is the same in eight out of ten constituencies in the department, the balance of power being reversed in the other two.

In the 3rd constituency, former stronghold of Jean-Marc Ayrault, it was however not won for Anne-France Brunet, who totaled 29.3% of the vote.

The MP left weakened after being accused of violence and harassment by a former parliamentary assistant.

The facts, which date back to 2018, were revealed in early May, a few days before Anne-France Brunet filed a complaint for slanderous denunciation.

She will face Ségolène Amiot next Sunday, far ahead with 42.9% of the vote.

Breach of trust and sexual assault

In the 7th constituency (La Baule, Guérande, Pontchâteau), Sandrine Josso (22.5%) entered the race late, when she lacked local support and almost missed the investiture of LREM.

The MP is also in a legal dispute with a former collaborator, this time for breach of trust related to financial problems.

The judge in chambers rejected the plaintiff's request but the case should not stop there.

A duel will pit Sandrine Josso against Véronique Mahé (24.3%) for the second round.

In the 9th constituency, Yannick Haury totals 25.6% of the vote.

The candidate is the subject of a very recent handbook from an elected representative of the town of Pellerin, who accuses him of sexual assault.

Not enough to bring down the deputy, who also filed a complaint for slanderous denunciation.

He will face Hélène Macon (28.6%) next Sunday.
