In Moscow, the first 15 fast food restaurants based on the McDonald's chain, which had previously announced the cessation of work in Russia, were launched.

The updated network was called "Tasty - and that's it."

The new menu includes classic Cheeseburger and Hamburger burgers, as well as Grand, Double Grand and Grand De Luxe, Double Cheeseburger, Fish Burger, Chicken Premier burgers.

Visitors can order french fries and rustic potatoes, nuggets, strips and chicken wings.

Desserts include waffle cone, ice cream, cherry pie, milkshake and applesauce.

According to Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, another 50 restaurants will open in the coming days, and about 200 outlets across the country are planned to open by the end of June.

“In recent weeks, there has been a lot of discussion about the fate of McDonald's: will it open or not, with what menu and name?

Today the intrigue was resolved.

I visited the flagship - on Pushkinskaya Square.

The managers said that the quality of food, service and the team remain the same,” Sobyanin said.

He clarified that almost all products in the updated network are supplied by Russian manufacturers.

“I will not hide that we were worried about the fate of the enterprise, employees, suppliers - these are tens of thousands of people.

Helped the network to reconfigure the work as soon as possible.

Glad it worked out,” the mayor added.

The CEO of Sistema PBO, which replaced McDonald's, Oleg Paroev, noted that while not all menus will be available to visitors - according to him, this is due to logistical difficulties, as well as the fact that restaurants open in record time.

Some items familiar from the old menu will not be in the new restaurants - in particular, the Big Mac burger and McFlurry ice cream.

“This is due to the fact that these names, these brands, their appearance and production technology have a very direct association with the McDonald's brand.

But I want to promise that in the very near future we will have worthy replacements for these products, which I am sure our consumers will appreciate and love, ”said Paroev.

He also said that he plans to change the packaging of some products, but promised that "all its contents will remain consistently tasty and fresh."

Paroev added that the chain will not introduce alcoholic products into the menu.

At the same time, according to him, "Tasty - and that's it" will introduce a new taste of soda instead of Coca-Cola to the menu, for this the company is holding a tender.

“Some of our suppliers are leaving the Russian market, and we will also look for a replacement.

We have certain stocks of Coca-Cola, we will work on them for some time, currently there is a tender for the choice of a new taste, because sooner or later the stocks will run out, ”he said.

In turn, the owner of the network Alexander Govor said that he intends to consider the possibility of adapting tastes depending on the region.

According to him, this became possible, since the company is no longer affected by the strict standards of the corporation.

“I have already given commands to work out these options: closer to the Caucasus, Siberia - more spicy dishes, in the middle lane - a milder taste.

We will decide," TASS quoted him as saying.

Govor added that he intends to expand the network to 1,000 establishments.

“The plans are ambitious, the network is about 850 enterprises, in the next five to six years we plan to bring this figure to 1,000,” Govor said.

In addition, he said that McDonald's franchise networks in Russia could enter the new brand.

“Three days ago, the McDonald's brand suspended its work in Russia, all franchisees stopped their work - in Kazan, Siberia, airports.

Will they continue to operate under the McDonald's brand?

Of course not.

If they work, then we will begin to receive applications from them for consideration in order to draw up an agreement with them under our brand.

We will sign, the conditions will not be worse - only better.

We will be very happy if franchisees continue to work under our brand,” he told reporters.

Earlier, Paroev noted that he did not exclude the resumption of work in Russia by McDonald's, but said that this would not happen in the near future.

“In the message of the CEO (CEO of McDonald’s) Chris Kempchinski, there were words about the “possibility of a new meeting,” said Paroev.

Recall that McDonald's announced the decision to suspend the work of its restaurants in Russia in mid-March, after the start of a special operation in Ukraine.

In mid-May, the company announced its withdrawal from Russia and, through the mediation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, sold the business to the Russian owner, businessman Alexander Govor.
