"Yes, Rafael is going to play at Wimbledon," said Toni Nadal, still very close to his nephew, on the sidelines of the ATP tournament in Stuttgart.

"If he has a small chance, he will play".

"When we spoke yesterday (Friday) he told me it was much better, he wants to train," said the Mallorcan's uncle, who claims the 36-year-old - who won the week last his 14th Roland-Garros tournament - will resume the racket next week.

Nadal has suffered for years from Müller-Weiss syndrome, a degenerative and incurable disease which is characterized by the deformation of one of the bones of the foot.

The Spanish champion revealed that he had to play the Roland-Garros final with an anesthetized foot but that he was not ready to repeat the experience at Wimbledon.
