China News Service, Beijing, June 11 (Reporter Chen Su) June 11 is China's 6th Cultural and Natural Heritage Day. This year's theme is "Cooperative Protection of World Natural Heritage and Building a Community of Life on Earth".

At the same time, the 18 heritage sites have also protected more than 200 cultural relics protection units, intangible cultural heritage, many famous historical and cultural cities, towns, villages and traditional villages, bringing an average of more than 14 billion yuan in tourism revenue to the local area every year.

In the past 35 years, China's world heritage cause has grown from nothing to a large one, and has made remarkable achievements in the declaration, protection, management and utilization of world heritage.

In recent years, China has accelerated the construction of a natural reserve system with national parks as the main body, formed an effective mechanism for the protection and management of world heritage relying on the natural reserve system, and vigorously promoted the coordinated protection of natural reserves and natural heritage.

According to the 2020 World Heritage Outlook assessment report of the World Conservation Union (IUCN), among the world natural heritage and dual heritage sites, 63% of the world's overall conditions are in "good" and "good" status, and 89% in China. 7% of the world is in critical condition, China is zero.
