Khalifa University is first in the country and 181 globally in the “QS” classification

Khalifa University of Science and Technology ranked first for the fifth year in a row at the state level and 181 globally in the “QS” ranking of the best international universities 2023, which included 11 universities evaluated from the country.

The university also ranked 37th in the Times Higher Education rankings of universities in Asia 2022, which included an assessment of 616 universities from 31 countries.

Dr. Arif Sultan Al Hammadi, Executive Vice President at Khalifa University, said: "These classifications are a new achievement for the state and for Khalifa University. The two global rankings confirmed the university's keenness to maintain its position as one of the top 200 international universities in the QS World University Rankings 2023."

He explained that Khalifa University has advanced over a period of 9 years since 2015 by 260 ranks and has continued to advance regularly 6 times in the QS World University Rankings.

He added: "The university's internationally prestigious position in the latest rankings of the "QS" and The Times is a clear evidence of the effectiveness of research and the quality of academic education offered by the university, which we seek to enhance further. Developing more human and intellectual capital, which in turn will enhance the transformation process of the knowledge economy in the country.

Within the QS 2023 rankings, which included 1,422 universities from 100 countries, the university showed outstanding performance, ranking among the top 13% of the global institutions.

In the International Research Network category, the university scored 53.9 points compared to the global average of 41.0 points, a category that reflected the institution’s ability to diversify the geography of the international research network by establishing sustainable research partnerships with other higher education institutions.
