“In the evening, not far from the Surikovo station in the Birilyussky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, when a freight train was moving, 24 wagons loaded with logs and lead concentrate derailed.
As a result of the incident, some of the wagons with timber were overturned, the wagons with lead concentrate were not allowed to fall, and no one was injured,” the report says.
On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 1 of Art.
263 of the Criminal Code of Russia (“Violation of the rules of traffic safety and operation of railway transport, which negligently entailed causing major damage”).
In March, it was reported that seven wagons of a freight train had derailed in Primorsky Krai.
