How was the body discovered?

It was a resident of the village of Clessé who discovered the body this Thursday morning.

Around 6:40 a.m., this local resident, who was driving to work, "saw someone lying down" on the public highway, near the town hall and her former primary school.

Thinking that it is a "drunk or drugged" person, the driver hesitates to stop.

“I finally stopped and tried to wake her up.

But when I approach, I see that the knife was still in his throat, ”she told our colleagues from BFMTV, adding that she immediately called for help.

"She was all white," she continued, explaining that she was still in shock.

What happened in the night from Wednesday to Thursday?

According to the first elements of the investigation, the teenager would have left her home in secret in the night from Wednesday to Thursday, between midnight and 4 am, to join her boyfriend.

"Obviously, their relationship was picking up again and they used to meet in the village between midnight and four o'clock" confided the victim's friends to the investigators, explained Éric Jallet, the public prosecutor of Mâcon, during a press conference on Thursday evening.

The parents of the teenager only realized her disappearance in the early morning: "They thought she was in her bed, it was in the morning, when they got up to go to school, that they didn't not find”, detailed Eric Jallet.

But the teenager goes to the meeting with a knife hidden in his sleeve.

They talk for a few minutes, before the young boy stabs him three times in the neck.

The victim tries to flee, but he catches up with her, tries to strangle her and stabs her again.

"Several dozen stab marks" were noted by investigators on the girl's upper body, "torso, shoulders, face and neck", specified the prosecutor, as well as several "lesions defence” on the forearms.

His nose was also broken.

According to Eric Jallet, traces of blood were found on a low wall, then on "a path of progression" leading to the body, found dressed.

Jewelry and a jacket were found near the victim.

Why did the teenager go after his girlfriend?

If the teenager admitted in police custody to having killed his girlfriend, his motivations remain unknown for the moment.

His "first statements confirm that he committed the acts of intentional homicide," said prosecutor Eric Jallet.

“The suspect wanted to kill, without giving any further explanation,” he continued.

According to the testimonies of his entourage and that of the victim, the young boy had already had "disturbing words" against his girlfriend, referring in particular to "the fact of wanting to kill her", according to the prosecutor, adding that his friends "took it for black humor".

The teenager was arrested around 9:45 am, a few hours after the discovery of the body Thursday morning, at the college of Lugny, a town near Clessé, where the victim was also educated.

He was taken into custody on the charge of "intentional homicide with premeditation".

The boy was not known to the police.

He had been abused by his father at the beginning of the year.

A minor, he faces up to twenty years of criminal imprisonment.

An investigation, led by the research section of the Dijon gendarmerie, was opened for "assassination".
