China News Service, June 10 (Xinhua) According to a comprehensive report, on the 9th local time, the U.S. Pentagon issued a statement acknowledging that the United States has provided support to 46 biological facilities in Ukraine over the past 20 years.

Although the United States has emphasized the legality of these biological facilities, Russia has previously pointed out that the United States conducts military biological activities in Ukraine's biological laboratory to study the spread of the virus.

According to the Pentagon, the 46 biological facilities in Ukraine include laboratories, health facilities and disease diagnosis facilities.

The United States also claimed that the cooperation with Ukraine is to improve Ukraine's "biosecurity" and "human and animal disease surveillance" and other issues.

The statement also said that all equipment and training provided by the United States has always been in compliance with U.S., Ukrainian and international law, and has sometimes entered into partnerships with multiple agencies, including the World Health Organization.

Russia Today noted that this is the first time the U.S. Department of Defense has disclosed the exact number of its government-backed facilities in Ukraine.

U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland admitted in March that Ukraine has "biological research facilities" and the U.S. is working with Ukraine to prevent those "research materials" from falling into the hands of the Russian military.

According to documents submitted by the US to the Conference of the Parties to the Biological Weapons Convention at the end of 2021, the US has 26 biological laboratories and other cooperative facilities in Ukraine.

The U.S. Department of Defense has absolute control.

All dangerous viruses in Uzbekistan must be stored in these laboratories, all research activities are led by the US, and no information can be disclosed without the permission of the US.

Russia has repeatedly said that there is evidence that the United States conducts military biological activities in a Ukrainian biological laboratory.

As early as early March, the Russian side pointed out that Russia has discovered 30 biological laboratories in Ukraine, which operate under the orders of the US Department of Defense and may involve the manufacture of biological weapons.

The seized documents show that on February 24, the day Russia’s military operation against Ukraine began, the laboratories received orders to “urgently destroy” pathogens of plague, anthrax, cholera and other deadly diseases, Russia said.

The Russian side also found that the United States used Ukrainian citizens, including soldiers and hospitalized patients, to conduct pathogen experiments.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in May that the Pentagon had established a number of biological laboratories in Ukraine, "this is by no means to provide medical assistance to the local population, its main task is to collect biological materials for the purpose of studying the spread of viruses and dangerous diseases."

However, U.S. military-biological activity in Ukraine is just the tip of the iceberg.

According to data, the US Department of Defense controls 336 biological laboratories in more than 30 countries around the world in the name of "cooperating to reduce biosecurity risks" and "strengthening global public health".

The US has never been able to provide a convincing explanation for this.
