Ukraine, where war has been going on for more than 100 days, our correspondent has obtained government permission and is continuing the coverage.

Let's connect Kiiu.

Correspondent Ahn Sang-woo, where are you looking back now?

<Reporter>

The place where I am now is where there used to be a bridge that connected the capital Kiiu and Irfin, the western gateway.

At the beginning of the invasion, the Russians launched an all-out offensive to capture the capital, Kiiu, and they had to cross this bridge to enter the capital.

For this reason, the Ukrainian army blew up the bridge on its own before Russian armored vehicles or tanks could enter the area.

The front was moved to the east, but the bridge remains as it was when it was blown up.

There are no other places where the horrors of this war remain.

Right next to Irphine is another small town, Bucha, with a population of 35,000.

Although it was a small and peaceful city, it was the place where the Russian army trying to enter Kiiu, the capital, and the Ukrainian army who tried to block it fought a fierce battle at the beginning of the war.

It has already been two months since the Russian troops withdrew from the bucha after Ukraine's desperate resistance, but you can see how fierce the fighting was by looking at the still-abominable appearance of the village.

In particular, hundreds of bodies of civilians believed to have been victims of genocide after the retreat of Russian troops were found in the Bucha.

Next to me is the burial site of the dead civilians.

More than 200 civilian bodies are buried here.

Most of them had their hands tied at the time of discovery, showed signs of torture, and had gunshot wounds at close range.

Based on these characteristics, the Ukrainian side claims that the massacre of civilians by the Russian army took place.

[Nazia/Nun: It was so sad that I did not know what to say.

Horrible things are happening all over Ukraine, including Bucha.]

There are still areas where fighting is fierce.

What is the situation in Eastern Donbas?

<Reporter>

Ukrainian Defense Minister Olexi Rezhnikow said on social media that the situation on the front line is very difficult, saying that up to 100 Ukrainian soldiers are killed and 500 are wounded every day.

This is because both Ukrainian and Russian forces are fighting fiercely over Severodonetsk.

Foreign media such as The Economist diagnosed that this war had entered a mode of attrition, which only increased damage on both sides without any clear progress.

In the midst of this situation, two British and one Moroccan who belonged to the Ukrainian army and were captured while fighting the Russian army are being arrested, and a pro-Russian separatist court sentenced them to death in a snap.
