Amélie Oudéa-Castéra, the new Minister of Sports and the Olympic Games, has tested positive for Covid-19 and is therefore in solitary confinement for seven days.

This will not prevent him from "continuing to work and carry out his activities remotely" said his ministry.

“The Minister will isolate herself for seven days (…) She will continue to work and carry out her activities remotely”, specifies the ministry in a press release, adding that Amélie Oudéa-Castera has been tested “as soon as the appearance early symptoms".

Traveling with Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday

She was alongside President Emmanuel Macron on Wednesday during a trip on the theme of sports activities in Clichy-sous-Bois, in Seine-Saint-Denis.

Former director general of the French Tennis Federation, Amélie Oudéa-Castéra was appointed to the government on May 20.

She had to immediately manage the consequences of the malfunctions observed near the Stade de France on the evening of the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool on May 28.
