11 economic activities were targeted with "nationalization" until the end of "April"
The data of the systems of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation identified the list of sectors targeted for Emiratisation, which included 11 economic activities that were targeted for Emiratisation in the country, until the end of last April, most notably the “real estate development and construction” sector, which ranked first among the most targeted private sector facilities for Emiratisation. Where the total number of establishments in this sector reached 3,287 establishments, followed by the "business services" sector with a total of 2,272 establishments, and then the "commerce" sector, with a total of 2,244 establishments.
The ministry stated, in an indicative publication that it broadcast on its official platforms on social media pages, that the list of sectors targeted for Emiratisation also included the "industry" sector with a total of 1,995 establishments, the "transport and communications" sector, with a total of 1,072 establishments, and "tourism and hospitality" with 547 establishments, and "Social services" 536 facilities, "Education" 371 facilities, in addition to the "financial sector" with a total of
297 facilities, as well as the "health sector" with 296 facilities, and finally other sectors with a total of 276 facilities.
Last May, the Council of Ministers approved a package of unprecedented incentives, including reducing the fees for services of the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation of up to 80% for private sector companies registered with the ministry, which achieve qualitative achievements in the recruitment and training of citizens, in addition to raising the target of the percentage of localization of skilled jobs by 2 % annually in private sector companies whose facilities include 50 employees or more, with the aim of creating job opportunities exceeding 12,000 jobs annually for citizens in the private sector and various economic sectors in the country.
The decisions come within the framework of supporting the federal program "Nafis", which aims to raise the competitiveness of citizens and support Emirati job seekers to obtain the skills and competencies necessary to meet the needs of the private sector and enable them to occupy jobs in it.
