- It feels very good that the Church of Sweden has an archbishop, and it is a person that I perceive as pious and curious, says Fredrik Modéus, bishop of Växjö diocese.

But it is your brother who became archbishop, what do you think about that?

- We have been colleagues for seven years, and we consider each other as colleagues more than brothers.

I congratulate Martin.

We have not had time to see each other yet, but we have texted.

I will call him this weekend, says Fredrik Modéus.

Will you run in the archbishop election again if it becomes relevant?

- I do not really think so.

I have my task here in Växjö, and I am very happy and satisfied with that.

I do not think any bishop thinks "now I will become archbishop", but we are available when the church needs us.

Martin Modéus from the diocese of Linköping was tipped as a favorite already at the nomination election.

In the final round of elections, he received 59% of the vote, which means that he will take on the role of archbishop after Antje Jackelén.
