SVT already reported on Wednesday about a woman who is suspected of having flown over the festival area with a drone.

She was arrested and risks a fine, according to the police.

- This is a security issue.

A drone does not have to be very large to cause injury if it falls into someone's head, says Thomas Johansson, the police's spokesperson to SVT.

The pilots encountered

But the case of the woman was not an isolated incident.

Also on Thursday, several cases of drone flying took place over Sweden Rocks area.

So far, six cases have been identified.

In some of the cases, the pilot has also been found.

- It is not allowed to fly at all in the restricted area that exists, says Fredrik Nilsson, who is responsible for the police's drone operations.

- Not even without a restricted area, you can fly over crowds for security reasons and here we have over 40,000 visitors in a relatively small area, he says in a comment.

Applies to the festival

According to the police, there is a flight ban over the area in order to ensure safety for Sweden Rock Festival and to enable the police to monitor the festival "without interference from other aircraft".

The ban applies from ten o'clock on June 8 to midnight on June 12.
