According to Sedvall, the project has cost around 700,000. With the help of funding from the municipality, the technology and the fictional scenario have been developed.
Since the turn of the year, the fire service's officers have been able to use the equipment.
- They think it is interesting and fun, but then we also see that there are some challenges with this, says task leader Stefan Ulander who instructs the officers during the exercises.
The hope is that the new VR technology can also be used in other activities in the municipality in the future, after the project in the fire service has been evaluated.
