After the first suspicions were raised in 2020, about 45,000 stores around the world stopped selling the company's products.

Recently, Walmart, the world's largest retailer, also announced that it would suspend distribution of the product.

As Wal-Mart decided to join the boycott, interest in and criticism of the troubled company is growing.

The company denied the allegations of abuse, stating that "it is necessary to understand how Thais and monkeys coexist according to cultural contexts."

Netizens responded, "Humans are the cruelest. I feel sorry for monkeys who don't know anything.", "Let's not do this to a monkey, let's do it to a vicious criminal such as a sex offender."
