4 Palestinians were wounded by bullets during clashes with the Israeli army in the cities of Nablus and Jenin in the northern West Bank, as the occupation launched a campaign of arrests in Jerusalem and the West Bank, which included 13 Palestinians.

Confrontations erupted in different areas of the West Bank, after the Israeli occupation forces stormed Jenin and its camp from all sides, backed by a military bulldozer, and stormed several neighborhoods.

The occupation army deployed snipers on the roofs of the buildings, which led to the outbreak of confrontations during which live bullets, sound bombs and tear gas were fired. The confrontations resulted in the injury of 3 young men with live bullets in the shoulder and leg.

This comes at a time in the city of Nablus, a fourth young man was wounded by live bullets in the foot during the storming of the city by the occupation forces.

The occupation forces also arrested 13 Palestinians in separate areas, most of which were concentrated in Jerusalem and the cities of Tulkarm and Nablus and its villages, in addition to the villages of Ramallah, Jenin and Tubas.

Yesterday, Wednesday, Palestinian institutions concerned with prisoners' affairs said that the Israeli army arrested about 690 Palestinians last May, including 76 minors and 19 women.

This came in a joint statement issued by the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission (official), the Palestinian Prisoner Club, the Addameer Foundation for Prisoner Care and Human Rights, and the Wadi Hilweh Information Center - Jerusalem (non-governmental).

The statement stated that the Israeli authorities launched a massive arrest campaign during the past month, concentrated in the city of Jerusalem.

He pointed out that the arrests were accompanied by grave violations against the detainees and their families, as well as after their transfer to interrogation and detention centers, in addition to the recording of various injuries, including severe among the detainees, shot by the Israeli army.

The statement stated that the number of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons reached about 4,700 until the end of last May, including 32 women and 170 minors, while the number of administrative detainees reached about 640.

Usually, Israel carries out campaigns of arresting Palestinians, releasing some of them after several days of investigation, while transferring the majority to prisons.
