An inmate from the Nanterre remand center (Hauts-de-Seine) violently attacked a nurse with a razor on Sunday.
The 35-year-old man, who suffers from psychiatric disorders, is imprisoned for murder, reports

The facts occurred around 8:30 am, while the nurse, accompanied by a supervisor, was distributing the drugs to the detainees.
After hearing screams and knocks emanating from a cell, the two women headed towards it.
Once the prisoner calmed down, the guard opened the door.
The attacker would then have jumped on the nurse
An open investigation
The 34-year-old victim was hit in the neck.
“I hit him on the shoulder with my medicine basket yelling at him to stop.
And he calmed down before asking me what I was waiting for to give him his treatment, ”told our colleagues the injured nurse.
She was taken to the hospital, where she had her two wounds stitched up.
The victim filed a complaint against his attacker.
He was placed in a disciplinary unit.
An investigation for violence with a weapon has been opened by the Nanterre prosecutor's office.
