“Based on the negative recommendation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic, President Milos Zeman on Wednesday, June 8, denied 127 citizens of the Czech Republic their request to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” he wrote on Twitter.

On May 11, it was reported that Zeman allowed 103 Czech citizens to join the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Prior to this, the head of the Czech parliamentary committee on European affairs, Ondrej Benesik, announced that the Czech Republic had sent T-72 tanks and BMP-1 armored personnel carriers to Ukraine.
