On March 13, 2020, the first case of covid-19 was reported at Södertälje Hospital.

Until the beginning of June 2022, more than 2,300 people have been cared for for the disease at the hospital.

Over the years, the staff at the hospital have faced great challenges and strains.

SVT Nyheter Södertälje has, after the curfew has been lifted, met doctors and nurses who tell about the tough years.

"Enormous fatigue in the organization"

- For a period, I remember that I did not even have the strength to watch TV, all news items were peeled off, it simply became too difficult, says Wictoria Ölverud, chief nurse at Iva.

- There has been an enormous fatigue in the organization.

We look forward to the day when there is zero in the covid statistics.

Then we will celebrate, says Håkan Kalzén, operations manager at Södertälje hospital.
