According to newspaper reporter Julian Barnes, US officials said the Ukrainian government had provided them with insufficient data and details about their "operational plans."
As a result, "gaps" appeared, the journalist noted.
“How much do we really know about how things are in Ukraine?
Is it possible to find a person who will tell you with confidence what losses Ukraine has, how much equipment they have lost?”
Beth Sanner, a former senior intelligence official, told the newspaper.
As Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said earlier, hundreds of CIA and British intelligence officers have been working in Ukraine for about 10 years.
