It was on the way out on a fishing trip that a private person captured the incident on film.

The video clearly shows how the bear attacks the elk calf and drags it across the road.

- Damn, how hard!

exclaims one of the people who saw the drama in front of him from the first floor of the car.

Stumbles on the road

The moose calf gets up again, after which the fight continues.

The calf stumbles up the road.

In the forest, the bear lurks.

- How awful, says one of the witnesses.

The film clip ends with the elk calf fleeing limping into the forest, and the bear sets after it again.

How it ended is unclear, but the chance for the moose calf to escape the bear was probably not that great.

Bears take many moose calves

During the early summer, many of this year's moose calves are taken by bears, an adult bear can take 7-8 moose calves for a few intense weeks at the beginning of the summer, according to SLU.

For a large part of the rest of the year, the bear is omnivorous and eats a lot of berries.
