First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Andriy Vitrenko announced changes in the country's school curriculum.

In particular, according to him, a number of works of classical Russian literature will disappear from it.

“All of these will be completely excluded from foreign literature ... for example, War and Peace, this will no longer be studied in Ukraine,” Vitrenko said on the air of one of the TV channels.

According to the official, all works that "sing" Russian troops will disappear from the literature program in Ukrainian schools.

However, he noted that the final decision on which authors and books will be removed from the program has not yet been made.

Earlier, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine announced the creation of recommendations on the removal of Russian literature from library collections, which the department would consider “propaganda”.

From the release published on May 5, it followed that the department’s employees were working on replacing Russian literature with “high-quality Ukrainian-language literature and books from Ukrainian publishers.”

In addition, in mid-March, the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine announced a ban on the import and distribution of publishing products from Russia.

In a statement published on this matter, it was said that the decision was made in order to “prevent cultural and informational influence” on the moods of Ukrainians.

At the same time, at the end of March, the head of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, Sergey Kravtsov, said that in the Ukrainian textbooks and manuals studied by specialists of the department (over 300 books were analyzed), history was distorted, and children were aimed at hatred of Russia and the Russian language.

According to Kravtsov, it was written in Ukrainian textbooks that the Russian Federation was “a potential first enemy of Ukraine”, and theoretical preparations for war were carried out.

At the same time, the head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin instructed to start checking these textbooks and give a legal assessment of their content as part of the investigation of criminal cases about the events in Donbass.

It was noted that the Ukrainian authorities "plannedly and purposefully" carried out work in this direction.

Commenting on the plans of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education and Science, political scientist Ruslan Balbek called the fight against world literature, which includes the works of Russian writers, barbaric.

“They don’t like that Tolstoy sings of the Russian troops?

But didn’t the Ukrainians fight with Napoleon?”

asked the interlocutor of RT.

At the same time, he noted that the issues of the content of the educational program on the territory of Ukraine in the new academic year remain open.

“But not in all of Ukraine, some areas in the new academic year are guaranteed to get rid of Russophobia in education, and this process is already irreversible,” the political scientist said.

In turn, Viktoria Fedosova, deputy director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, a member of the MGER political council, noted that now Ukraine has made a choice in favor of "parochial, provincial culture" instead of a large culture, of which the country was before.

She noted that such an approach is noticeable in the attitude of Kyiv towards the Russian-speaking population: the Russian people were declared "non-indigenous" in the legal plane, and parallel processes were going on in the field of culture.

“First it is said that Russian literature is something alien, and then it is taken out of the general context.

They got one step closer to the goal of abolishing Russian culture.

If you follow this logic, it is clear why they canceled the Russian people in the Donbass - because they do not consider them theirs, ”said Fedosova.

According to the expert, over time, people will begin to realize systemic errors in the formation of a distorted consciousness in all areas: in education, in politics, in history, in culture.

“All this leads to the degradation of society.

This is a vivid example of cultural genocide against Russian culture.

First of all, the people of Ukraine suffer from this.

Who will not be able to create great things, who will not be able to think systematically, have a voluminous multidimensional worldview, a rich education, ”concluded Fedosova.
