"I don't want to get married, but I want to be a bride. So I decided to marry myself."

A woman in India has become a hot topic after announcing that she will have a wedding with herself at a temple on the 11th.

Recently, the Times of India and other local media reported that Kh Shama Bindu, 24, a woman from Gujarat state, will hold a traditional Hindu wedding with 'She is herself' at a vow in western India.

Bindu's wedding will include pre-ceremonies such as 'haldi' (a ceremony in which the bride and groom are anointed with turmeric oil) and 'sangit' (a celebration with music and dance), which will be followed by Bindu's two weeks in southwestern Goa. We are also planning a honeymoon trip.

The only thing unprepared for this wedding is the groom.

"A lot of people say I'm a great marriage partner," she said.

In fact, in the Western world, 'marriage with oneself' was often done under the name of 'sologamy', but in India, where the concept is unfamiliar, disputes over 'sologamy' continued.

Some commented that Bindu's marriage was "a strange and sad single life," and that "it seems like she's just trying to run away from her family responsibilities."

Bindu said, "For me, this marriage is a very deep act of self-acceptance," she said.

Bindu added, "My family blessed my decision, and I will attend the ceremony with my friends.
