"I want to marry the wind", sings Arno from the first bars of this almost 3-minute song, released as a scout from his final album, which should be released in September.

"Yesterday was the past, today the truth" he sings in a chorus, in his gravelly voice, in this melancholy title with an electro-rock weave.

The death at 72 of the man known as the Belgian Tom Waits was announced on April 23.

In February 2020, the singer had entrusted to suffer from pancreatic cancer.

Before his death, he had wanted to enter the studio to record a final album, between autumn 2021 and spring 2022, in Brussels.

Like a David Bowie, who knew he was condemned and had left the album "Blackstar" just before his death.

Few things have filtered from this ultimate Arno album.

With the exception of a title with the French singer Mireille Mathieu, who confirmed to AFP having recorded her vocal part.

"His almost testamentary desire was to record a duet with me. He recorded his voice with great courage. Arno was a true poet, with a very particular way of telling himself through his songs", she had still indicated to AFP on the day of Arno's death.

The crooner had started his career with the rock group TC Matic in the 80s. This formation had made a name for itself with its hymn to Europe "Putain, putain" ("Putain, putain, it's really good, we we are still all Europeans").

It was in solo that he then revealed himself to a wider audience, thanks to songs like "My mother's eyes" or his cover of "Girls by the sea" by another Belgian, Adamo.
