Zakharova: The EU has become the economic department of NATO

The Russian diplomat recalled that the State Department also noted the need for Serbia to focus on EU accession and not focus on "failed negotiations with Russia."

Earlier, the Serbian newspaper Evening News reported that Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro closed their airspace for the aircraft of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to fly to Serbia. 

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic expressed his dissatisfaction with the countries' refusal to provide an air corridor for Lavrov's plane, which made it impossible for the Russian minister to visit Belgrade.
