President Yoon Seok-yeol nominated Kim Joo-hyun, chairman of the Credit Finance Association, as a candidate for the Financial Services Commission today (7th).



Candidate Kim, from Seoul, graduated from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University and entered public service through the 25th administrative examination, mainly working in the economics department.



During the Lee Myung-bak administration, he served as the head of the Financial Policy Bureau and the Secretary General of the Financial Services Commission, as well as the president of the Korea Deposit Insurance Corporation.



President Yoon also appointed former National Diplomacy Director Yoon Deok-min as ambassador to Japan, Seoul National University professor Jae-ho Jeong as ambassador to China, and professor Ho-jin Jang, chair professor at Korea Maritime University, as ambassadors to Japan.

Among them, former Director Yoon was a scholar who served as a professor at the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Security for over 20 years and served as the Deputy Minister of National Diplomacy during the Park Geun-hye administration.



When President Yun was elected, he visited Japan as a member of the Korea-Japan Policy Consultation Delegation.



Professor Chung is an expert on China's political economy who has studied US-China relations. He is an orthodox diplomat who served as the director of the North American Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign affairs secretary to the president.
