Egypt announces categories that are not authorized to perform Hajj this year, by a decision from Saudi Arabia

The Vice-President of the General Federation of Egyptians in Saudi Arabia, Adel Hanafi, said that there are groups that are not authorized to perform Hajj this year, after a two-year hiatus.

He explained that this year, Saudi Arabia allowed one million pilgrims from abroad and inside to perform the Hajj in accordance with controls and conditions, with the Kingdom offering initiatives that contribute to facilitating the pilgrims of God and maintaining their security and safety.

In his statements, Hanafi indicated that the categories who are not authorized to perform Hajj this year are all those over 65 Gregorian years, women under 45 without a mahram, and all types of commercial - tourist - work - family visits, as the Kingdom issued a decision banning Receiving visitor visas of all kinds at four airports: Yanbu Airport, Taif Airport, Jeddah Airport, and Madinah Airport, starting from June 9, 2022 and for a period of one month until next July 9.

And Saudi Airlines indicated that only visitor visa holders will be accepted on flights to Riyadh airport, according to certain conditions, which are not issuing any internal tickets to Jeddah, Madinah, Yanbu or Taif, and the need for confirmed tickets to go and return for the passenger, provided that the return is from The same arrival station, and finally, whoever has not been immunized with a vaccine against the Corona virus is not authorized to perform the Hajj except with the vaccines approved in Saudi Arabia, which are: Pfizer two doses, Moderna (two doses), AstraZeneca (two doses), Johnson (one dose), and seasonal employment or the so-called pilgrim service .
