China News Service, June 7th. According to the WeChat official account of the Chinese Embassy in Laos, since the Lao government announced the reopening of the country in early May, the embassy has received reports that illegal personnel are peddling the so-called "Laos transit return home" through Douyin and WeChat channels. One-stop" services, or publishing "package green codes" to provide entry visas, package purchases of air tickets to China, and go through customs clearance procedures at land ports to engage in fraudulent activities.

In view of this, the Chinese Embassy in Laos would like to remind again:

  1. The current China-Laos border land ports are still operating as before, and the China-Laos railway has not yet opened cross-border passenger transport. Those who intend to travel to the port areas are requested to understand the relevant port management policies in advance.

Please pay attention to the public account "Boding Appointment Management" for consultation and appointments regarding returning from the Boding-Mohan port (temporarily, no appointments will be accepted for pre-returning people from third countries via Laos).

  2. The third country does not meet the requirements for direct transfer back to China via Vientiane, Laos.

Chinese and foreign nationals who come to Laos from a third country and plan to take a flight to China must stay for at least 21 days after entering Laos legally, and carry out strict nucleic acid testing before departure.

For specific requirements for pre-trip nucleic acid testing and detailed conditions for applying for a health code, please read the relevant notice on the embassy's website or official account.

  3. The current capacity of flights between China and Laos continues to be tight, and there are still uncertainties in ticket purchases from third countries to Laos who plan to transit to China and lead to a clear risk of detention.

Purchasing air tickets through social media is extremely risky, and relevant personnel must be vigilant and do not blindly believe.

Ticket purchases should be made through official channels such as the airline's official website, guaranteed ticket platforms, etc., and pay attention to reading the contract terms to avoid being deceived or disputes arising from refunds and changes.

  4. Passengers going to China must further strengthen personal protection, consciously abide by pre-departure health management and other epidemic prevention requirements, avoid the risk of infection before and during the trip, and jointly maintain the normal operation of China-Laos flights.
