He noted that contacts between the two countries at this stage are limited, and the communication of the parties ends with a discussion of technical problems.

On June 2, the US Treasury announced that US authorities were imposing sanctions on 17 Russian citizens, including Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova and Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov.

On June 6, the Russian Foreign Ministry imposed personal sanctions on US Treasury and Energy Ministers Janet Yellen and Jennifer Granholm.

Restrictions were also introduced against individual officials of the White House and the US State Department, involved in stuffing about “malicious” Russian cyber attacks.
