The Russian Foreign Ministry announced the introduction of personal sanctions against another 61 US citizens.

The list is published on the department's website.

The ministry emphasized that the expansion of the sanctions list against the American side is a response to the restrictions that the United States regularly imposes against Russian political and public figures, as well as business representatives.

“The stop list includes 61 American citizens from among the leaders of leading military-industrial complex corporations, media platforms and rating agencies, aircraft and shipbuilding companies, as well as individual US State Department officials involved in stuffing about “malicious” Russian cyber attacks,” the statement says. .

Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Fitch Group President Paul Taylor, Moody's Senior Executive Officer Rob Fauber, United Airlines President Brett Hart, Universal Pictures President Peter Kramer, Nasdaq President Adena Friedman fell under retaliatory Russian sanctions.

The list also includes Jennifer Bacchus, head of the Bureau of Cyberspace Security and Digital Policy of the US State Department, Katherine Bedingfield, director of communications for the White House, Wilmont Hasting, senior executive director of Netflix, and others.

The first deputy chairman of the Federation Council committee on international affairs, Vladimir Dzhabarov, in a conversation with RT, emphasized that Russia's response to the sanctions imposed by the United States will always be "similar and tough."

“All these sanctions are retaliatory.

We didn't start it.

The entire sanctions policy was started by the Americans and brought this entire regime up to the head of state and ministers.

When they understand that this is a completely hopeless and dead-end path, then we will be able to sit down at the negotiating table.

So far, in this sanction frenzy, they have lost the rational grain of our relations.

It is unfortunate that Americans do not understand this, ”said the senator.

Recall that on June 2, the US Treasury announced the expansion of the sanctions list against Russia.

17 Russian citizens fell under the restrictions, including the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, the Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev.

The list also includes Severstal and 15 other Russian legal entities, including LLC Severgroup and Nord Gold.

In addition, the United States has restricted access for 71 legal entities from Russia and Belarus to American technologies.

Commenting on falling under the sanctions, Maria Zakharova said that she "was sure that she had been on the American stop list for a long time."

She clarified that she “hadn’t been issued a normal visa for a year now,” and she has no foreign real estate and accounts.

“Some kind of regular performance of the “partners,” Zakharova said.

On May 21, the Russian Foreign Ministry published a national "stop list" of 963 US citizens who were banned from entering the Russian Federation as a response.

The Russian list includes, in particular, US President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, and FBI Director Christopher Ray.

It also included Vice President Kamala Harris, son of US President Hunter Biden, CIA Director William Burns, a number of US ministers and their deputies, such as Defense Department spokesman John Kirby, State Department spokesman Ned Price, former White House representative Jen Psaki and other US officials.

In addition, Russia has closed entry to the American actor Morgan Freeman.

As specified on the Foreign Ministry website, in 2017 Freeman recorded a video message accusing the Russian side of conspiring against the United States and calling for a fight against Russia.

The Foreign Ministry stressed that the hostile actions taken by Washington, which boomerang on the United States itself, will continue to receive a proper rebuff.

“Russian counter-sanctions are of a forced nature and are aimed at forcing the ruling American regime, which is trying to impose a neo-colonial “rules-based world order” on the rest of the world, to change its behavior, recognizing new geopolitical realities,” the agency said.

At the same time, the Foreign Ministry added that Moscow is not looking for confrontation and is open to an honest, mutually respectful dialogue.
