• As for the presidential election, the parties are entitled to clips broadcast on public service channels for the legislative campaign.

  • The stagings say a lot about the intentions of the parties and their objectives.

Did you like the presidential campaign clips?

You will love those of the official legislative campaign.

This time, no perfect equality between the forces present, and only the parties which have a parliamentary group or present at least 70 candidates and candidates are entitled to clips.

Morning, noon and evening you can find them on the antennas of the public audiovisual service.

But in case you don't have time to dive into it,

20 Minutes

spent its day ahead, and that says a lot about the strategies of the different parties.

Together: a glance to the left

The presidential majority released its most beautiful images of the countryside and villages of our beautiful country.

This figure is a classic.

More surprising: Elisabeth Borne only appears for a few seconds, and Emmanuel Macron little more.

Place is made for candidates, outgoing or not, who, in turn, say a bit of a sentence from the speech of the majority.

The result is a beautiful tribute to the best wedding slideshows.

Basically, the message first looks like a reminder to voters: by the way, you have re-elected Emmanuel Macron.

"The French have chosen a statesman in a period marked by instability," say the candidates.

Not giving an absolute majority to the newly re-elected president would be risking the stability of the country.

On the rest, Together digs the furrow traced by Emmanuel Macron in the between-two-rounds of the presidential election: rather turned to the left, with an emphasis on purchasing power.

“If you choose a candidate from the presidential majority, a law to fight against the high cost of living will be voted in the summer […] France can become a great ecological nation […] Full employment will be within reach.

Finally, Ensemble also designates its main adversary: “Don't give in to false promises and alliances of circumstance”… Again, the glance seems to go to the left.

Electoral barometer: 6/10.

It's pro, but it lacks pep.

The Republicans: our territories have talent

The big right-wing party, the main opposition force in the outgoing Assembly, is trying to save the day after the presidential bankruptcy.

So in his campaign clips, LR falls back on his business in his last years: the territories.

LR is the party of the territories, its candidates are rooted in the constituencies.

"That's what makes us strong", immediately justifies the president of the party, Christian Jacob, the only personality to appear in the clip.

As with the outgoing majority, the majority is given to the candidates.

But the means are not the same: everyone appears face-to-face to say a bit of a sentence.

The image, framing and sound are, shall we say, of haphazard quality.

On the merits, the aspiring and aspiring LR deputies are playing the card of the deputy spokesperson for their constituency above all, to epic music.

So much so that most of the clip is almost depoliticized.

The program comes at the very end with "our five priorities", a little rushed and without surprise: no more than 1.50 euros at the pump, exemplary minimum sentences, revaluation of pensions, 4,000 young doctors in medical deserts and finally spend less to tax less...

Electoral barometer: 3/10.

When the technical quality is not there, we pick up.

National rally: Jordan Bardella more dolphin than ever

Unlike most competitors, the National Rally does not rely on its local candidates.

Perhaps their contrasting performances in the local debates organized by France 3 dissuaded them.

It is therefore Marine Le Pen, the presidential candidate, and Jordan Bardella, the acting president of the party, who lead the dance in the clip.

If the presidential finalist is majestic, note all the same that his second is also entitled to images that highlight: Bardella in front of a church, Bardella who walks in slow motion in the street… It poses a dolphin.

The mobilization of its voters is fundamental for all, even more for the losers of the presidential election, even more for the RN, for whom the loss between the two elections is usually extremely strong.

So, the RN clip is first of all a call: “Go vote!

is the anaphora played by Marine Le Pen and Jordan Bardella.

"Because if you don't, others will decide for you!"

», urges the first;

"because the decisions that will be taken during this five-year term in terms of energy, immigration or schools, for example, will commit the country for decades", believes the second.

While the emphasis on purchasing power before the first round of the presidential election has made a good part of its success, Marine Le Pen this time only makes it one subject among others, and still not even first.

Electoral barometer: 5/10.

RN voters will find themselves there, that's for sure.

Insubordinate France: Mélenchon and union to the bottom

The parties that form the New Popular Ecological and Social Union (Nupes) do not make common cause in the clips, nothing a priori prevented them from doing so.

La France insoumise – it’s starting to look like a rule – first gives the floor to the candidates, who present themselves: “I am a lawyer, I am a labor inspector, I am a civil servant, I am a nurse, I work at the Post Office”… La France insoumise wants to show all the diversity of the profiles it presents to the deputation.

"In the image of our country", specifies Jean-Luc Mélenchon.

The candidate for Matignon, who has not taken off his light gray suit since the very end of the presidential campaign, then takes up all the space.

It is up to him to present “the completely different policy” that would be carried out after a victory for Nupes in the legislative elections: ecological planning, retirement at 60, allocation of 1,000 euros to students, price blocking – “because you have to live!

“… The markers are there.

The clip is of course a call for mobilization whereas if the Nupes wants to appear well it will have to convince most of the voters of Jean-Luc Mélenchon and the rest of the left on April 10 to move again.

The third man in the presidential election insists on explaining that it's simple: just vote for the ballots with the "V" for NUPES.

Example in support with a bulletin from Manuel Bompard… But also from Julien Bayou for EELV, Olivier Faure for the PS as well as a communist deputy and a Generations candidate.

Electoral barometer: 6/10.

It's well done, but Jean-Luc Mélenchon who speaks almost alone, it's deja-vu.

Socialist Party and EELV: minimum service

Socialist and environmental clips are the preserve of party leaders: Olivier Faure, the first secretary of the PS, and Julien Bayou, the national secretary of Europe-Ecologie – Les Verts.

We knew the PS was sparing with its money, but the clip leaves you speechless: we simply hear Olivier Faure, and again, it's a speech, not a specially recorded message, on images of demonstrations and candidates in the campaign.

It's hardly better on the green side: Julien Bayou is still facing the camera.

The ecologists clearly display the color of the Nupes: "Call it ''nupe'', ''nupès'', ''nups'', as you wish", even ironically Julien Bayou, candidate in Paris.

He insists on “an ambitious program that can concretely change lives”.

The PS rather displays its own colors, the Nupes is surprisingly not mentioned and its logo appears at the very end only.

The party with the rose in the fist nevertheless displays the main measures of the alliance with LFI, including retirement at 60 and the minimum wage at 1,500 euros.

A makeover for the PS.

Electoral barometer: 2/10.

The lack of investment is impressive.
