China News Service, June 6th, according to Hong Kong's "Wen Wei Po", the Hong Kong Jockey Club held the "50th Anniversary Horse Racing Day of the Apprentice Jockey School" at the Sha Tin Racecourse on the 5th to recognize the apprentice jockey school's participation in the local horse racing in the past 50 years. To play a pivotal role and contribute to nurturing Hong Kong horse racing talents.

Signed memorandums of understanding with The Education University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Society of Sports Medicine and Science and the Guangdong Sports Vocational and Technical College respectively before the race, aiming to provide excellent training through various new projects, thereby promoting the future training and development of horse racing talents in the Mainland and Hong Kong s plan.

  Jockey Club Chief Executive Officer Ying Jiabai pointed out that the establishment of a horse racing talent training center not only plays an important role in Hong Kong, but also plays an important role in the entire Greater Bay Area.

  The Jockey Club signed a memorandum with the Hong Kong Society of Sports Medicine and Science to provide medical support, health monitoring and sports psychological consultation services for the trainees. It is expected that the trainees' performance and training effectiveness will be improved.

Yung Shu-hang, President of the Hong Kong Society of Sports Medicine and Science, said that over the past ten years, horse racing has continuously strengthened the application of sports medicine and sports science knowledge. The scope of application has gradually expanded from focusing on the treatment of injured jockeys to applying relevant knowledge and skills to Training, preventing injuries and improving jockey performance.

  The strategic cooperation framework agreement signed by the Jockey Club and Guangdong Sports Vocational and Technical College covers the discovery and recruitment of horse racing talents, arranging internships for adult students, and offering professional sports training courses (horse racing) for suitable candidates.

The partnership aims to nurture high-quality apprentice jockeys and horse racing talents in the future.

  Coinciding with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Jockey Club Apprentice Jockey School, the Horse Racing Training and Development Committee was renamed the Horse Racing Talent Training Centre, which includes two schools, namely the Apprentice Jockey School and the Horse Racing Talent School.

The Apprentice Jockey School will continue to provide riding training, while the Horse Racing Talent School will provide specialized skills training for non-riding stable personnel such as assistant trainers, stable assistants and nailers.

As a professional teaching institution, the Horse Racing Talent Training Center will connect the mainland and Hong Kong communities to discover and nurture horse racing talents.
