This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the representative of the Katowice Regional Directorate of the State Forestry Marek Mruz.

He said that residents can only collect branches lying in the forests, and not break them off from trees.

According to him, the collected branches should not be thicker than 7 cm.

According to Mruz, those wishing to collect firewood should contact the forester for training, after which he will show them a place where they can collect firewood.

At the same time, the Poles will have to present the collected brushwood to the forester - he will measure and issue an invoice.

The fee will be from 7 to 30 zlotys (approximately from $ 1.6 to 7) per spatial meter.

Earlier, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Germany and Poland would continue to work to phase out oil from Russia by the end of the year.
