According to the US Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC), on June 6, local time, New York Governor Kathy Hochul (Kathy Hochul) signed a new law requiring the state to prohibit the purchase of semi-automatic rifles by people under the age of 21.

New York became the first state to take major gun control measures after a spate of mass shootings in the United States.

According to reports, Hochuer signed 10 bills related to gun control.

These include putting microstamps on new firearms (to help law enforcement track firearms and investigate crimes), and Red Flag Laws that deter at-risk people from buying and owning firearms.
