Democratic Party lawmaker Hong Young-pyo argued that an investigation into the nomination of Seoul mayor candidate Song Young-gil from the Democratic Party during the June 1 local elections was necessary.

Representative Hong Young-pyo, a representative pro-moon (pro-munjae-in) member, appeared on KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strongest Current' on the morning of the 6th and said, "We need to investigate the process of former CEO Song Young-gil being cut off at the Strategic Nomination Committee and then overturning overnight. do,” he said.

The Democratic Party's Strategic Nomination Committee decided to cut off former President Song during the nomination process for local elections last April.

However, the Party Emergency Response Committee withdrew this and conducted a 100% national primary for former Representative Song and former lawmaker Kim Jin-ae.

Rep. Hong, referring to the situation at the time, pointed out, "I was going to cut off (CEO Song) and create a new alternative, but I nullified it and held a meaningless primary."

While the 'Lee Jae-myung and Song Young-gil's theory of responsibility' for the devastating defeat in the June 1 local election is being raised mainly by pro-Moon lawmakers, it is interpreted that Rep. Hong is adding strength to the theory of responsibility by referring to an investigation into the nomination process.

Rep. Hong said, "Rep. Lee Jae-myung said, "Isn't it wrong that Rep. Lee came forward to rescue Gyeonggi-do and even Gye-yang (the constituency where Lee was elected)," he said. I did.

He continued, "I accepted as a general evaluation that one of the biggest reasons we lost in the local elections was that Rep. Lee went to Gyeyang and Song Young-gil, the mayor of Seoul (running for mayor), this was decisive." I don't admit it."

Rep. Hong said, "In the presidential and local elections, (the party's strategy) was a strategy of 'We don't need centrists, we don't need conservatives'," he said.
