AEB: AvtoVAZ sales in Russia fell by 84% in May

It is noted that in May the total number of sales of passenger cars in Russia decreased.

“May 2022 was marked by a drop in new car sales by -83.5% or 123,110 units compared to May 2021,” the AEB said in a statement.

AvtoVAZ sold 6,012 vehicles in May 2022, compared to 38,284 vehicles in the same period in 2021.

In January-May, the company's total sales in the country fell by 58%.

Earlier, the head of the AvtoVAZ concern, Maxim Sokolov, during the introduction to the team, said that the company plans to resume production in early June.
