The municipality has hired four artists who belong to the top tier of the world in its genre.
Curtis Hylton from England, Artez from Serbia and the artist duo TelmoMiel from the Netherlands will paint six facades.
- I have received a fantastic response from the people here in Oskarshamn.
They seem very happy to have a new work of art in the city, says Artez.

Starting a new wall
The artist Artez has finished a wall in central Oskarshamn and on Sunday he started a new one in Kristineberg.
- It is a very high wall, I think it is between 22 and 23 meters.
My idea is to try to get the white wall to blend into the surroundings, he says.
The festival started on May 30 and will last for a month.
Other art projects will include painting electrical cabinets and containers.
