He stated this at the congress of the Turkish ruling Justice and Development Party.

“While our country has been successfully coping with illegal migration from Syria for 11 years, we are seeing panic in Europe due to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis,” the Turkish leader was quoted as saying by TASS.

He also expressed hope for a speedy end to the conflict. 

As David Ignatius previously wrote in The Washington Post, U.S. President Joe Biden faced panic among European Union leaders over the success of the Russian Armed Forces in eastern Ukraine.

He added that the heads of state began to calculate the damage and seek to end the crisis in Ukraine.
